Morris 18-30 Weekends
25th - 27th October 2002 & 26th– 28th September 2003

The first and second Morris 18-30 Weekends were hosted by
The Side and held in Oxford City Centre.

The aim was to show the public what Morris can be like with a set of energetic under thirties, but also to get young dancers together to simply have an enjoyable weekend, dance, drink and have a laugh.

We were based at the Sea Scout Hut on Donnington Bridge and the initial preparations were made by Ben, Graham and Alastair.

At the first weekend, we were joined by members of Leicester, Kennet, Ebor, Jockey, Rumford, Men of Wight, Packington, Harthill and the hosts Icknield Way.

On the Friday night after a bowl of Ben's Mum's stew and a quick practise to iron out any regional variations, we spent the evening in the Chester Arms drinking, playing, singing and more drinking so the first dance spot outside the Blue Boar on Saturday morning was rather reluctant!
